Medical Training Therapy

Medical Exercise Therapy (MET) supports the restoration of physical function through targeted exercises for strength, endurance, mobility, and coordination. It is often used after injuries, surgeries, or in cases of chronic pain. Training is individually tailored using machines, free weights, balls, and resistance bands in the facilities of Luxor Fitness. A medical prescription is required, and insurance coverage may need to be clarified in advance. Ideally, MET serves as a transition back to active sports. You are also welcome to purchase a membership at Luxor Fitness—please ask at the reception for more information.

Process & Requirements

For the first session, insurance approval must already be confirmed. Please contact us in advance so we can help arrange this for you. Before training begins, we assess your health condition and your previous treatment progress. MET is usually prescribed for 3 months with 9–36 sessions covered by insurance. Your individual training plan is managed through an app and takes place at Luxor Fitness in Zurich.
